Stephanie Byers, MS, RD

Stephanie completed her masters degree at NYU in clinical nutrition.  She was employed by The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ as a clinical dietitian as well as a nutrition counselor.  She developed, coordinated and operated their Recipe for Life program, an outpatient nutrition services department.  Stephanie has worked closely with bariatric/lap-band patients, cancer patients, and people with various metabolic problems such as diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol.  She was also on a team that developed the Valley Hospital’s Complementary Medicine Department which incorporated alternative therapies such as acupuncture, massage, tai chi, yoga, mindfulness-based stress reduction (meditation), and nutrition with traditional therapy.  She has lectured in the community for over ten years on topics spanning the Mind-Body Connection to Bone Health.  Prior to joining the Ethos team, Stephanie had her own private counseling practice.

 

 

Jacqueline Piemonte, MS, RDN

Jacqueline is a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist, who studied at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and holds a Master’s Degree in Nutrition. She works as a Clinical Dietitian at Kessler Institute of Rehabilitation, where she assesses the nutritional needs of in-patients and provides dietary counseling for a variety of chronic conditions, including heart disease, diabetes and obesity. She also runs a private practice where she works with a wide range of clients. Some of the topics she counsels patients on include: enhanced sports performance diet, gluten-free Celiac diet, PCOS, disordered eating, weight loss and meal planning. As a mom of two children, Jacqueline has been involved in the school Wellness Committee, working with the school’s Registered Nurse and other concerned parents to incorporate nutrition education into the school curriculum through Wellness Days and parent education nights. Jacqueline has studied with Dr. Joel Fuhrman, the New York Times best-selling author of Eat to Live and Disease-Proof Your Child. She promotes a whole foods, plant-based diet as a dietary approach to chronic disease management and prevention while also optimizing health and performance.
